The Rogue has a abundant return of winter Steelhead each year. Drawn out over four months makes for many opportunities to target them. With the ability to retain hatchery and wild fish this is great fishery for those who enjoy eating fresh Steelhead. Fish ranging from 6-14 pounds and can even catch some up to 20. We target them by drift boat and jet boat. Fishing in Gold Beach, Oregon and up into Merlin, Oregon or Grants Pass, Oregon area, as the run progresses.

The South Umpqua has a great hatchery program with many fish returning each year. The North Umpqua is known for beautiful wild Steelhead. As seeing not many hatchery fish returning, makes for a great catch and release river.
